HECS Check (hecscheck.com) is a set of free calculators. The calculators run entirely in your browser. The income figures, balances and other numbers you type are used only to display your result on your own device — they are not sent to us, not stored on any server, and not shared. There is no sign-up and no account.
We do use standard third-party services for website analytics and, in future, advertising. Those services set cookies. This page explains what they do and how to opt out.
Information you enter into the calculators: none is collected by us. It stays in your browser.
Automatically collected usage data: like most websites, we use analytics to understand aggregate traffic (pages viewed, approximate location by country, device type, how visitors arrive). This is collected through cookies and similar technologies described below. It does not identify you personally to us.
Google Analytics 4. We use Google Analytics to measure aggregate site usage. Google Analytics sets cookies to distinguish visitors and sessions. You can learn more at Google's Privacy Policy, and you can opt out across all sites with the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

We link to external sites, including the Australian Taxation Office, for source material. We aren't responsible for the privacy practices of those sites; please review their own policies.
You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings, and use the opt-out links above. Blocking analytics or advertising cookies does not affect the calculators, which work without them.
